The Unified Analyzer is designed to solve problem by combining multiple analyzers such as Power Delivery, DP AUX, EDID and I2C/DDC that misses synchronization of the captured results. The Unified Analyzer is ideal solution for R&D engineers working with firmware development.
The Unified Analyzer capture transactions from multiple interfaces simultaneously and present synchronized, timestamped results and allows data comparison. Events are captured with precise 1μsec resolution.
The capture window shows row number, originating tab, transaction number from original tab, timestamp, difference to previous timestamp, event type, and accompanying data.
The Unified Analyzer can decode multiple different types of messaging protocols captured from the Inter-IC (I2C) bus interfaces.
There are decoders for interpreting Enhanced Display Identification Data (EDID) used for exchanging data of supported formats and features of displays,
High-bandwidth Digital Content Protection (HDCP) handshake and keepalive messages, link Status and Control Data Channel messages of DDC interfaces,
and Type-C Port Controller Interface (TCPCI) specification messages used for managing USB Type-C interfaces.
The Unified Analyzer allows real-time USB Type-C Vbus and Vconn voltage & current measurement.
Voltage and current values are presented on the top right-hand corner of the user interface and graphical measurements are separately available by selecting VBUS Graphs from the options menu.
The DisplayPort Auxiliary (AUX) is a half-duplex bi-directional data channel that is used for link and device management. The AUX channel is used by the video source (host) to exchange main video link and video format capabilities with the video sink (device), negotiate the steps necessary to perform link training, key exchange for content protection and monitoring link status and quality.
The Unified Analyzer enables monitoring and capturing DisplayPort AUX channel transactions from three channel simultaneously (USB Type-C, DisplayPort and external header) and decodes AUX messages for native DPCD register access and I2C-over-AUX transactions.
